While travelling down to Spain we decided to stop at this little campsite in France. After we set up the tents we went down to the resturant for some dinner and were very impressed with the quality and taste of the food, there was also live music being played, a great relaxing evening, unwinding from the days ride.

After a long days ride we managed to find this campsite in Toulouse, We were lucky to take the last stand and only paid 20 Euro for the stand. We packed out the tents and then headed for the showers, cleaned up and then headed off to grab a bite to eat. After dinner the evening was spent sipping back a few beers and listening in amusement people from all different nationalities trying their hand or should I say their voices at karaoke. I didn’t know a song could be destroyed in so many ways. After a good laugh we headed off to bed and slept sound.
The next morning we decided to have some breakfast before we hit the road, and a good cup of coffee. We still had about three hours ride to the hotel where the HUMM event was being held.

We started off well but my partner Paul lost his front end and crashed with his bike and ended up breaking his collar bone, Paul tried riding his bike back for a while as we navigated the shortest route back to the hotel but could not bare the pain. Unfortunately we ended up in this dry river bed and I had to ride both bikes due to the pain in his shoulder, the temperature was a scorching 42°C and it took us 3 hours to get out of the river bed onto tarmac, I had to ride one bike up the river bed for about 500 meters then walk back down jump on the other bike and then ride that. I was absolutely drenched, exhausted and burning up, and it was a godsend to be back on the road feeling that breeze against me and cooling me down.
